Being Adventist Christians, we believe that Jesus will be coming to get us and we believe it will be sooner rather than later. That is awesome and I hope that your faith and your belief in this are carrying you through the rather difficult time that we are going through, not just in our country but around the world. Economies are tanking, countries are threatening war; it seems like everyone has lost their mind and it doesn’t look like it is getting better anytime soon.
The Card
I’m sure most of you are familiar with the saying “ people don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.” I am a firm believer that we need to earn the right to minister to people’s spiritual needs. Most of us are familiar with this statement ;
“Christ ministered to people’s needs before inviting them to follow Him—Christ’s method alone will give true success in reaching the people. The Saviour mingled with men as one who desired their good. He showed His sympathy for them, ministered to their needs, and won their confidence.
Today I had the opportunity to be in an environment with other Seventh-day Adventist Christians just like me. I will keep the story vague as not to sound too critical because at some time we all have been guilty of this… While waiting my turn I was listening to three ladies talking on the other side of the room. One of them brought up the name of a woman, the wife of a church member they knew. “She is a Methodist” one of them said.
